Good news for wolves fans as Pedro Neto perfect replacement has been found.

Football Insider has been informed by sources that Wolves has set their sights on winger Yoane Wissa, a star for Brentford.

The Midlands club, which reluctantly sold the winger to Chelsea earlier this month, is currently evaluating the market for a successor for Pedro Neto.

Even with the large-scale transaction, it’s anticipated that Wolves’ financial situation would limit their options before the window closes on August 30. Due to his goal-scoring prowess with Brentford since signing in 2021, Wissa, 27, has emerged as a key target.

With the winning goal and an assist in Sunday’s 2-1 victory over Crystal Palace, he increased his value even further (18 August). WOL manager Gary O’Neil is reportedly a “big fan” of the international player from the Democratic Republic of the Congo, according to sources.

He made 30 starts in 36 total appearances for Brentford in the 2023-24 campaign.

Wissa, a standout player for Brentford, is being targeted by Wolves. In those games, Wissa scored 12 goals, provided three assists, and scored twice for his nation at the African Cup of Nations.

The 27-year-old has a June 2026 contract with Brentford. Although his primary position is left wing, he can also play center forward and right wing.

On Saturday, August 17, O’Neil’s team lost 2-0 on the road to Arsenal to begin the 2024–25 campaign.

Rodrigo Gomes, a recent acquisition, was positioned on the left side of Wolves’ three-pronged attack formation.
