Panthers make second series of moves on Saturday, adding a corner
On Saturday, the Panthers made their second set of moves of the day, adding another defensive back. Following a tryout, the organization signed defensive back Anthony Brown. The cornerback made his NFL debut in 2016 after being selected in the sixth round by the Dallas Cowboys. Brown played for the Cowboys for seven seasons. In 2023, he was a member of the Steelers, 49ers, and Jets practice squads. Brown had 324 tackles, four sacks, and 29 interceptions in his career with the Cowboys. The team also waived defensive back Kiondre Thomas in a related move. The Panthers waived/injured tight end Curtis Hodges and added safety Clayton Isbell earlier in the day. On Sunday, the club will play their first preseason game and host their third padded practice.
