Following his decision to leave, Phillips Clement believe he is not worth playing for rangers

Journalist Keith Jackson of the Daily Record feels that manager Philippe Clement and Rangers star player Todd Cantwell “don’t suit” each other.

This comes after Cantwell filed a transfer request at Ibrox earlier this summer in an attempt to leave Govan [Sky Sports].

Jackson claimed that Clement hasn’t designed a system that benefits Cantwell in remarks made on July 30 on Record Sport’s Hotline. According to Jackson, Todd Cantwell is one of the Rangers’ most gifted, inventive, and offensive players, if not the best. “Clement hasn’t really put together a system that works for Cantwell, and I don’t think the two of them work well together.”

Todd Cantwell departs the Rangers close. The former Norwich player is one of the more inventive players for the Gers, and Jackson stated that he will be greatly missed during training.

Cantwell is unquestionably one of the team’s greatest players when he’s in the zone, despite the fact that his stint with the Glasgow-based team has been somewhat marred by things like his contacts with supporters on social media.

The Gers are undergoing a major rebuild this summer and are planning ahead for the future with additions such as Connor Barron and Jefte making their way into Clement’s squad.

Another thing that hasn’t likely helped Cantwell whilst with the Gers is the fact that Clement wasn’t the man who brought him in.

In reality, this shouldn’t affect much, but, when managers have clear ideas in mind, and certain players don’t fit, they can often be outcasted.

Whilst the loss of Cantwell will no doubt be hard to take, the money they are likely to receive for his transfer will help improve the team across the board and perhaps even help them challenge Celtic to the title.
