James Tavernier’s departure becomes apparent following the Rangers vs. Union Berlin match.

David Edgar claims that James Tavernier has given off the appearance of a man who is almost certainly leaving the Rangers.

The host of the Heart and Hand podcast observed the Englishman’s behaviors this week, and while Philippe Clement hasn’t announced his departure, it seems like a breakup is imminent.

The 32-year-old appears eager to sign with Trabzonspor, and the two parties have even come to a personal terms agreement. [Yağız Sabuncuoğlu] Edgar said the following via X during the Union Berlin game:

“No update but he’s looked every inch a guy on the way out this week.” James Tavernier and the Rangers have to part ways this summer.

One important factor to take into account is Tavernier’s advanced age and the possibility of a reduction in his performance in the years to come.

He is getting close to the end of his career at age 32, therefore the Gers could prefer to spend their money on a younger player who can provide more longevity. The club captain hasn’t been playing at his best lately and has put up uneven performances.

This may indicate that his time at Ibrox is drawing to an end and that he might benefit from a change of scenery.

Parting ways with Tavernier may be a part of the Ibrox team’s transitional stage under Philippe Clement, which is an opportunity for the team to restructure and reshape the roster.

Given that Trabzonspor and Tavernier have reached a personal agreement, it appears likely that Tavernier will move on if he is no longer entirely dedicated to the club.
