Jose Cifuentes is scheduled to leave Rangers on another loan, and it is possible that he may play alongside Connor Goldson once more. The midfield player has been on loan at Cruzeiro, but it appears that he will be leaving to make a new, temporary transfer to Aris Limassol. Goldson has already been heavily linked to the Cypriots, who have also held transfer negotiations with the defender, who was spotted leaving Glasgow Airport this morning.
According to The Daily Record, Cifuentes is currently traveling and in route to Cyprus in order to obtain a second season-long loan. Furthermore, it is said to feature an option to purchase in the summer of 2027, with the Ecuadorian signed to a contract at Ibrox.
Michael Beale, who signed the 25-year-old last summer, called him a “game-changer” for the Gers organization. However, he never really got going in Glasgow, and in January, he was fired by new manager Philippe Clement.
However, he did not have a smooth time at Belo Horizante either, as he played mostly as a reserve for Cruzeiro. Although the Brazilians did have the option to purchase, it never seemed probable that they would, and it now appears his loan will not even be paid back.
