Rangers want Bojan Miovski transfer to replace Cyriel Dessers amid Connor Barron dispute

Derek Ferguson thinks Rangers’ bad connection with Aberdeen will prevent them from signing Bojan Miovski. As a substitute for Cyriel Dessers, the Light Blues are interested in the North Macedonian striker, but they do not want to be kept hostage by the Dons, the Scottish Daily Mail (1 July) reports. A tribunal is expected as a result of the two parties’ inability to come to an agreement about Connor Barron’s compensation, the midfield player signed by the Green Bay Packers. Because of this, Ferguson doesn’t see Miovski and Dessers working together in the context of the Barron conflict, even though he would “really like” Miovski at Ibrox.

Barron is a player who has already signed, so if a deal cannot be done for him, there is little likelihood that one will be reached for Miovski, and the manager will have to go elsewhere. The obvious choice is Lawrence Shankland, and it appears that a move for the Scotland international may once again be considered [Daily Record, 22 July].
