Rangers’ Scott Wright will depart after three transfer inquiries
According to Darren Witcoop, Rangers have received three transfer requests for Scott Wright from English Championship teams. Wright is expected to depart Ibrox this summer. On Tuesday, July 23, the journalist wrote on X that Preston, Derby County, and Sheffield Wednesday were all based on the Gers winger. The 26-year-old is on the lists of all three teams, but it’s reported that they also have other targets in mind. The 26-year-old made just eight Scottish Premiership starts last season and if the Gers can pick up a fee for the winger then you imagine they will be extremely tempted to accept and reinvest the money in other areas of the squad.
Wright has been a valuable team member at Ibrox, but he hasn’t really established himself as the go-to player, and his time there has mostly been marked by inconsistent play. The player’s advantage is that it appears he has many admirers, with English clubs eager to sign him. Which side will end up with his signature seems to be the final unanswered question.
