Speaking to Sky Sports News, Allardyce said: “It’s a bonus getting to the final I think that actually getting to another final after Wembley where we got to for the first time since 66 and repeated that and on foreign soil as well. So you’ve got to look at that from a history point of view.
Even though we are disappointed right now, we must consider that an incredible success. We managed to get to the championship game against the team that was ultimately the best in the competition, as demonstrated by their impressive performance, despite the absence of all the teams that were favorites going into the tournament: Germany, France, and Portugal.
