Rangers transfer interest in exciting talent addressed by Motherwell boss as he paints ‘big numbers’ reality

Stuart Kettlewell believes Motherwell has a top talent in Lennon Miller, who has been linked with Rangers and other English clubs. Miller had a breakout season at Motherwell last season and is now a key member of the Fir Park midfield.

In response to a question about Rangers’ rumored interest, Kettlewell believes that seeing players like Miller and Kilmarnock’s David Watson emerge has given the club fresh vitality. He stated, “I see talk persisting about someone who is a great footballer. I’ve never been bashful about mentioning it to Lennon.

Clubs will be tied indefinitely, as they have been since he was a child. He’s been connected with clubs down south. We signed him to a longer-term contract for a reason: we received buy-in from his family, agency, and Lennon himself. He is improving on a daily basis, and it is great for Motherwell to have such a talent on their roster.

“I think seeing someone like Lennon Miller, who is 17 and has made just over 40 appearances for us, is fantastic. When combined with players like David Watson, it’s a breath of fresh air to see these people compete at such high levels. I’m seeing some really strong talent in Scottish football, and these two lads have been given weekly opportunities to play.”
