They now risk missing out on his services entirely, as Forest edge closer to striking an official deal.
Iheanacho is a forward that is much sought after, although his play from the previous season does not support this.
Despite only managing five goals in 23 Championship games the previous season, the 27-year-old might benefit from a fresh start in order to improve for the following campaign.
