Rangers transfer news latest as Abdallah Sima price tag ‘drops’ amid hammerblow in Albion Rrahmani chase

Rapid Bucharest owner Viorel Moldovan admits Albion Rrahmani could be allowed to leave this summer – but it looks like a move to Rangers could be OFF. The 23-year-old has sparked interest from across Europe after his impressive form for the Romanian side this last season – which has seen the Kosovo international net 17 goals – with the Scottish Premiership side and Slavia Prague reportedly keen on the forward. A move to the Light Blues appeared to be taking a step forward when Rangers director of football recruitment Nils Koppen reportedly held talks with the player’s agency at TransferRoom’s Mexico convention summit earlier this month.

However, Pro Sport reports that the attacker is “close” to a €3 million (£2.5 million) transfer to Slavia Prague. Amid the discussion, Moldovan stated: “There is a chance he will quit. It is true. If there is a grievance, no one can stop him. We have extremely excellent possibilities in that position, with young local players of high quality. I am a supporter of these young kids, who need to be given space to play, encouraged, and supported to become basic players at Rapid and Certainties.”

Elsewhere, Rangers fans will hope to have a bit more luck in bringing Abdallah Sima back to the club. The Senegalese forward enjoyed a relatively successful season long loan at Rangers and is open to a permanent switch.

The player had started the summer with an £8million price tag – but the Sussex Express states that is set to be dropped with the winger having just a year left on his deal. However, he has still to be “assessed” by new head coach Fabian Hurzeler.

Borna Barsic has already signed with Trabzonspor after leaving Ibrox. According to technical director Abdullah Avcı, the full-back had a rough start.
