Wolves are reportedly close to acquiring a “very interesting” player, according to Fabrizio Romano.

Recent weeks have seen reports of Wolverhampton Wanderers looking to add a new striker to their roster in anticipation of the next campaign.

Although Wolves don’t have many players with the physical strength to hold the ball up, Gary O’Neil has plenty of strikers who can play as false nines or penetrate the channels.

There has been a noteworthy advancement in that regard, as Fabrizio Romano has shared details on a talented striker who has been compared to Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

Jorgen Strand Larsen is under attack by wolves. The man in question is Jorgen Strand Larsen, a striker for Celta Vigo in Norway, and Wolves are reportedly in the running to sign him.

Romano posted on X to say that the 24-year-old’s contract negotiations are moving quickly along for Wolves.

Larsen is reportedly eager to join Molineux, and the player and club will also have to agree on personal terms.

Although Wolves are optimistic about completing a trade, Romano mentioned that Italian teams were also vying for Larsen.

Jorgen Strand Larsen, the Wolves’ objective, is who?

A striker for Celta Vigo in Spain and a member of the Norwegian national team, Jorgen Strand Larsen is 24 years old.

Before moving to the Netherlands in 2020, he started his football career in his own country with Kvik Halden and Sarpsborg, after spending time on loan at AC Milan’s youth.

Larsen moved to Celta Vigo in 2022 after establishing himself in the Netherlands, and he has since flourished there. The 6′ 4in star scored 13 goals and provided three assists in 37 La Liga games the previous season.

He has three goals in 14 caps for Norway as well. He has been compared to Sweden great Zlatan Ibrahimovic on X by Football Talent Scout’s Jacek Kulig, who also called him a “very intriguing” forward.

Hopefully, a “here we go” will be in the works sooner rather than later since things appear to be moving in the right direction.

Regarding departures, it is unclear what Pedro Neto’s future holds as he is drawing interest in Euro 2024.
