The Miami Dolphins have just seen another meltdown in the late season. After a 9-3 start to the season, the Dolphins faltered in their final five games, which gave the Bills the opportunity to pull off an incredible comeback and win the AFC East division.
This finally got the Dolphins to the wildcard round in Kansas City, where the Chiefs beat them to get out of the playoffs.
Similar to how the Dolphins started the 2022 season with an 8-3 record, they lost five of their final six regular season games and fell to the Bills in the wild card round.
The Dolphins’ objective has shifted from simply making the playoffs to winning the first round after numerous seasons of consecutive defeats.
The Dolphins must win their first postseason game since 2000 this season.
The Dolphins will need to overcome their late-season failures and contend with the other elite teams in the AFC after another season with their core group.
Under the direction of offensive-minded head coach Mike McDaniel, the team finished second in 2022 and near the top of the league in total points scored.
Although supporters continue to speculate about McDaniel’s performance, it’s important to remember that the Dolphins offense has been strong under his leadership even if he is still a young coach.
The Miami Dolphins have put together one the league’s top offense with stars like Tyreek Hill, Jaylen Waddle, De’Von Achane, Raheem Mostert, and Tua Tagovailoa all contributing this past year.
However, the big question will be, how will the Dolphins offensive line perform? Miami has only retained one starter on the offensive line from last season, right tackle Austin Jackson.
Notably, the team lost their talented guard in the free agency, Robert Hunt. Hunt signed a massive deal with the Carolina Panthers.
Miami Dolphins Tyreek Hill Betting Favorite to Win OPOY Tyreek Hill is entering his third season with the Miami Dolphins and coming off a career year where Hill recorded 119 catches for 1,799 yards and 13 touchdowns.
Hill has had back-to-back career years since coming to Miami. Hill is the first player in NFL history to have multiple 1,700-yard seasons and he did it back-to-back.
Tyreek fits well with head coach Mike McDaniel’s style of football and can make defenders miss in the open field.
Hill finished second in the Offensive Player of the Year voting this past season just behind Christian McCaffrey.
However, as of now, Tyreek Hill is the NFL favorite to win the award this upcoming year.
On DraftKings Sportsbooks, Hill is sitting at +700 odds with Christian McCaffrey right behind him at +750.
