Super Falcons star reacts when Ashleigh Plumptre shocks her family following injury recovery.
Super Falcons forward Asisat Oshoala has responded to Ashleigh Plumptre’s sudden return to her family in the United Kingdom following an injury recovery session. The former Barcelona attacker reacted on a video of Plumptre’s surprise visit home following her injury, expressing surprise at Plumptre’s enormous family. Plumptre suffered an injury that necessitated surgery in March, preventing her from competing in Nigeria’s vital Paris Olympics qualifiers versus South African Banyana Banyana.
A video has emerged of the 26-year-old hugging her family for the first time since transferring to the Saudi Arabia women’s league, which separated her from her family in England.
“A true blessing being able to make a short trip back home to surprise the family,” she posted on Instagram.
Oshoala answered with “Una plenty o (You guys are many),” along with other Super Falcons players who praised Plumptre’s generosity toward her family.
Despite her absence, Randy Waldrum’s troops qualified for the Olympics by defeating South Africa 1-0 in Abuja and drawing 0-0 in Pretoria. Plumptre, a crucial component of Nigeria’s women’s team, will be hoping for a rapid recovery as she prepares to compete at the Summer Olympics.
