As Max Kilman’s update surfaced, West Ham United should have faith in Julen Lopetegui’s transfer plan.

Frank McAvennie has asked West Ham supporters to support Julen Lopetegui in light of Wolves’ ongoing summer pursuit of Max Kilman.

The Hammers are expected to make a third bid for Wolves’ captain, but this time they won’t include a player-plus-cash option as they did with their second attempt [Fabrizio Romano], according to The Guardian [June 25].

Although there have been some questions this summer about the £45 million asking price, which the Midlands club is presently holding out for, McAvennie is fine with the transfer link because at least one new center-back is required.

He remarked, “He obviously knows him, and managers are going to go for that – he knows exactly what he’s getting,” in an exclusive interview with West Ham Zone. Lopetegui is aware that he will do well on a strong team.

He’s made an impression at Wolves, which is always encouraging, so I have no doubts about his success. We need two new center halves, in my opinion.

Apart from Angelo Ogbonna, Kurt Zouma and Konstantinos Mavropanos have not performed well, and Nayef Aguerd, the greatest of them all, is departing.

Regardless of the past, you must have confidence in the manager. I don’t see a problem with Max Kilman since he’s bringing in players that he knows can play in his manner. I would spend some cash and go grab him.

Wolves skipper Max Kilman is still a target for West Ham United. The Hammers’ center-back situation is really bad, as McAvennie hinted at, especially in light of Ogbonna’s announced departure.

Given Kilman’s quick ascent to the top, Lopetegui is obviously focused on bringing him to the London Stadium and West Ham should consider making the move given their prior experience with the defender at Molineux Stadium.

With just Luton Town, Burnley, and Sheffield United conceding more goals than David Moyes’ team did in the previous season, his team had one of the weakest defenses in the Premier League. This worrying fact has to be corrected this summer.
