Why Cowboys Are ‘Not A 12-Win Team This Year’

There is no NFL pressure cooker quite like the Dallas Cowboys, and even three consecutive playoff appearances and two division titles cannot alleviate the stress.

Being kicked out of the playoffs for three straight seasons may be enough for most teams, but it signifies doom under the Jerry Jones regime.

Cowboys supporters are accustomed to winning a dozen games in a row, as they have for the past three seasons, but even that feat could be jeopardized.

Analyst Jason McIntyre informed Colin Cowherd on The Herd that Dallas will not be a 12-win team in 2024, casting doubt on head coach Mike McCarthy’s job prospects.

McIntyre mentioned McCarthy, noting that the controversial head coach is supposedly past the honeymoon phase in Texas.

The NFL rumor mill is rife with rumors that he enters his sixth season in Dallas with a chip on his shoulder and is at his wits end with Jones.

So, not only does America’s Team have a growing problem as quarterback Dak Prescott seeks a lucrative contract extension, but its head coach may be on his way out.

Dallas also had an unusually quiet free agency period, with five starters from last year leaving for other teams.

The storied organization begins the 29th season of its failed pursuit for another Super Bowl triumph with more problems than answers, and there is growing anxiety that the team’s window of opportunity is narrowing.
