During the series, Netflix cameras meet Charly’s mother in California, where she reveals that Charly is an only child who has been doing ballet since she was two years old. “I just wanted to see her in a tutu!” her mother, Heather, quipped. Charly continued to dance, becoming a self-proclaimed perfectionist of the profession. “Technique and ballet are pretty much the foundation of dance. “And then you can go from technique to style and genre,” she informed the cameras. “Ballet is an excellent foundation to have…”There is a correct and wrong way to use technique, and I always try to get it properly.
