The three-ring circus featuring one of the Eagles’ top rivals continues

The three-ring circus featuring one of the Eagles’ top rivals continues

We’ve all heard this saying before, and it’s so old that it’s difficult to remember who said it first. ‘Mind your business’… We usually win, but there are times when we want to sneak beyond enemy lines and observe what the Philadelphia Eagles’ opponents are up to. Sometimes we are nosy, and we learn a lot. Sometimes we come here for the humor and drama. A passing glance at the despised Dallas Cowboys will always supply us with both. Have you listened? Dallas did little to enhance its team throughout the offseason. We questioned why. Then we remembered why.

They have to pinch as many pennies as possible if they’re to pay their top three stars.

And, that’s just one of the stories that seems to have taken center stage in ‘the great state of Texas’.

Cowboys head coach Mike McCarthy is reportedly ‘”fed up” with Jerry Jones. We saw this coming, didn’t we?

In addition to the headaches that come with hammering out extensions for Dak Prescott, CeeDee Lamb, and Micah Parsons, the Cowboys have something else to think about. Their head coach, Mike McCarthy, is in the final year of his deal.

Naturally, McCarthy’s story does not end here. Perhaps you’ve heard. He works for a sometimes insane owner who has never met a microphone he didn’t enjoy. Then there’s this latest story. During a recent interview with Go Long’s Tyler Dunne, a former Cowboys personnel staffer said that Coach Mike McCarthy may be becoming tired with his present working arrangement. “He’s doing his best…” Some of the folks I’ve spoken with say he’s starting to get tired of it. Rich Eisen mentioned this during a recent episode of his show. Check out some of his comments below.

Come on. We aren’t surprised by this, right? Jerry Jones drove Jimmy Johnson nuts. When Wade Phillips was the head coach, Jason Garrett was everyone’s favorite. Although the identities alter, the story appears to be the same. Kellen Moore finally became the teacher’s pet during Jason Garrett’s tenure as head coach.

It’s Mike McCarthy’s program now, and we’ve never stopped talking about his job security. Something tells us this relationship will not last. Someone else will take the job, and the same story will continue. We’ll see how’minding our own business’ goes when the Eagles finish the offseason, train in camp, and prepare for the season.

We’ll see what happens with the Dak Prescott, CeeDee Lamb, and Micah Parsons extensions, but don’t expect the Cowboys’ circus to end anytime soon… if it ever ends.
