Rangers are pursuing Motherwell star Theo Bair in light of the Celtic transfer rumors.

The Athletic reports that Rangers has entered the competition to capture Motherwell striker Theo Bair this summer. The 24-year-old, who has scored 13 goals in 33 Scottish Premiership games, will face off against Old Firm rivals Celtic, according to an internet source that was published on June 24.

The Canadian, who is now traveling with his country for the Copa America, is rumored to have already had early offers from many Bundesliga teams in the middle of the pack. Rangers will compete this summer for Motherwell star Theo Bair. Bair has finally settled at a club after several challenging seasons in the US, Norway, and even his debut campaign in Scotland. Journalist Peter Martin even dubbed him a “top-drawer” striker last season [PLZ Soccer]. After scoring just one goal in his Steelmen debut, he will have surprised everyone with his 15 goals in his second season, which included two goals and two assists in the Scottish Premiership relegation group.

But it appears that perseverance really pays off because the striker evaluates his own play style and compares it to others in order to improve. Given that the striker position is obviously going to be crucial this summer, Philippe Clement might be looking to add a player with that kind of commitment to his squad during the transfer season. Despite being frequently criticized for his all-around play, Cyriel Dessers has remained a favorite to be sold this summer despite scoring 20 goals in all competitions during his rookie season at Ibrox.

With Danilo nearing a return from injury, and a Monday announcement on the cards for 21-year-old Hamza Igamane, as per Football Scotland, the Nigerian’s exit could already be looming.
But with Danilo’s history of injuries, Rangers’ success in the upcoming campaign may depend on adding another striker, and given Bair’s recent play, there’s no reason they couldn’t take a chance on him. Though it might be a very challenging step up for the young forward as the Gers qualify for the Champions League ahead of next season, the 24-year-old has more than proven himself.
