Andrew McKinlay on Rangers next chief executive radar as Hearts supremo considered to replace James Bisgrove

Rangers are pondering a move for Hearts’ power broker Andrew McKinlay. The Light Blues have been impressed with the chief executive’s performance at Hearts. Rangers are now looking for their own CEO after James Bisgrove stepped down last month. McKinlay has performed admirably during his four years at Gorgie and is one of the contenders under consideration.

Hearts has dramatically boosted their off-park revenues, as well as their corporate revenue streams, which include the construction of a new hotel. This occurred concurrently with the team’s performance on the field. Hearts finished third and will now enter the European football group stages for the second time.

He formerly served as chief executive of Scottish Golf and on the board of the Scottish Football Association for six years. Rangers chairman John Bennett is now serving as chief executive at Ibrox until a replacement can be found. Bisgrove stepped down to join Saudi club Al Qadsiah.
