Liverpool hits Celtic with a big transfer price as another player on the Hoops’ radar faces a “worrying” circumstance.

Liverpool have set a transfer fee for the man linked to Celtic.

Liverpool has set a high price, therefore it appears like Celtic will not be competing to recruit Caoimhin Kelleher.

While filling in for Alisson last season, the Republic of Ireland international made a name for himself as one of the backup goalkeepers in Europe.

Though Celtic is reportedly among the teams interested in offering him the opportunity, he has an ambition to be a number one himself.

Following Joe Hart’s retirement, Brendan Rodgers is looking for a new goalie. However, the Athletic claims that Liverpool is expensive.

The Reds “will only consider offers of £25million and above because there are few better backup goalkeepers in Europe,” despite reports that they were considering a £15 million fee.

Additionally, they are not in a situation where they must sell.

Andriy Lunin, the backup for Real Madrid whose future at the Bernabeu is “increasingly uncertain,” is thought to be another player that Celtic is considering.

With Thibaut Courtois’s injury comeback, Lunin’s current status is uncertain.

Additionally, if he does not wind up signing a contract until 2029, “voices from his camp describe his situation as “worrying” and do not rule out an exit this summer, either through a sale or a loan deal.” Scott Bain and Benjamin Siegrist are the remaining senior goalkeepers at Celtic after Hart’s departure.

However, Siegrist is also a target for departure; Aberdeen has been mentioned as a potential suitor for the player who was formerly excellent for Dundee United.
