Hearts star ‘happy to move’ to Rangers as Celtic told Idah and Kyogo plan

Rangers are reportedly prioritizing the signing of a striker during the summer transfer window as Philippe Clement seeks to imprint his own stamp on the club. The former Monaco manager was limited to loan signings in January as he managed his first transfer window since his appointment just two months earlier, but he hopes to bring in more permanent reinforcements during the offseason.

According to Football Insider, the Belgian is prioritizing the acquisition of at least one forward and has provided updates on two previously reported targets.

They have indicated that Rangers are interested in Rapid Bucharest forward Albion Rrahmani, who has 19 goals in 30 games for the Romanian club. The Kosovo international is reportedly valued around £5 million, but Benfica, Werder Bremen, and English Premier League club Aston Villa are also interested.

However, the most significant update concerns Rangers’ pursuit of Hearts striker Lawrence Shankland, who is presently aiming to make history with Scotland at Euro 2024 as Steve Clarke’s side attempts to advance past the group stage of a major championship for the first time.

According to the article, Shankland has long been a Rangers target and would be ‘glad to transfer’ to Ibrox provided the two teams could agree on a deal. There is also speculation that Hearts will’struggle to turn down a genuinely hefty offer’ for a striker who finished last season as the Premiership’s leading goalscorer.
