Bukayo Saka rated higher than prime Mohamed Salah as Arsenal icon stirs the pot

According to an ex-Arsenal star, Bukayo Saka is preferable to Mohamed Salah.

Ashley Cole has claimed Arsenal gem Bukayo Saka is already a better player than Mohamed Salah.

Salah notched up an impressive 39 goal contributions across all competitions for Liverpool last season, as the Reds finished third in the Premier League table.

Saka’s Arsenal was one spot ahead of them, and the England youngster was having a memorable campaign as well.

Saka scored 34 goals and provided 34 assists for the Gunners, who ended two points behind eventual champions Manchester City, although being well short of Salah’s final total.

And Cole delivered an unexpected reaction when asked who he believed to be the better talent.

The legendary player from Chelsea and Arsenal, in an interview with Match Attax, supported Saka over Salah.

This is true even though Salah has contributed 300 goals in just 349 games since joining the Merseyside team.

Not to mention the trophies Salah has won—during his time at Anfield, the Egyptian won the FA Cup, UEFA Super Cup, Premier League, and Champions League.

When one considers Saka’s lone FA Cup win while playing for Arsenal, it’s understandable why Cole’s proposal sparked controversy.

Saka, who was born in London, won’t turn 23 until the fall, and it is predicted that he will play at the top level for ten years.

Saka is eager to make an impression this summer because he is predicted to be an important member of England’s squad for the 2024 European Championship. If Saka keeps healthy, that is—he entered the England team with a minor injury.

He is therefore under doubts going into England’s first group game against Serbia on Sunday.

Additionally, commentator Jeff Stelling has advised Gareth Southgate to keep him off the field because to concerns about his fitness. “I am going to pick Cole Palmer just ahead of Bukayo Saka,” he declared in a statement to talkSPORT.

Saka has taken a little hit; I don’t think he’s fully back to full strength, but Palmer did well against Iceland.

Thus, I would start Anthony Gordon, Harry Kane, and Palmer because I believed they posed the most threat to us during the majority of the game [against Iceland].

He has been performing admirably. Saka and company will travel to Frankfurt for their match against Denmark on Thursday after their meeting against Serbia in Gelsenkirchen. On Tuesday, they will play Slovenia to complete their Euro 2024 group stage.
