After “breaking stadium record,” Taylor Swift expresses gratitude to “expressive” Liverpool fans.

A record-breaking 62,000 spectators flocked to Anfield to see the superstar perform, smashing previous attendance figures for a football game.

Following her performance at the final Anfield Stadium concert on Saturday, Taylor Swift thanked the crowd for coming to her run of shows in Liverpool.

On Thursday, the 34-year-old American pop singer, who frequently shatter records, performed at Liverpool for her 100th gig on her Eras Tour. This was the first of three consecutive shows.

Swift claims to have shattered the stadium attendance record. The previous high attendance for an FA Cup fourth round match from 1952 was 61,905.

At least 62,000 Swifties were reportedly present for the maiden performance underground. “So many beautiful memories from Liverpool!” she said on social media.

“We performed at our 100th show on The Eras Tour, which is insane to say because every time we perform this show, it seems fresh to me.

“I would want to express my gratitude to the members of our Eras Tour crew, my fellow performers, and the band for dedicating hundreds of hours to putting on this performance and giving it their all both on and off stage.

“I’m in awe of the devotion, work ethic, and inventiveness I’m surrounded by every day. “The three Liverpool crowds were incredibly engaging, giving, and joyful. “We appreciate all of you who attended this past weekend—you shattered the record for stadium attendance ever! AND a big thank you to everyone who attended The Eras Tour concerts. Because of you, it’s been the experience of a lifetime.

Tuesday’s game in Cardiff’s Principality Stadium is scheduled for Swift, who will then play at London’s Wembley Stadium from Friday through Sunday.

The tour is expected to be worth up to £1 billion to the UK economy when it returns to London in August, wrapping up its UK and European leg.

According to Pollstar’s 2023 year-end charts, her final event of the Eras Tour, which will take place in Vancouver on December 8, will be the first tour to surpass the $1 billion mark in revenue.
