Arsenal “includes Premier League striker” in their three-man list of substitutes for Benjamin Sesko.

According to reports, Arsenal has compiled a shortlist of three players, including attacker Evan Ferguson of Brighton & Hove Albion, to replace Benjamin Sesko.

Even though Kai Havertz showed in the last few months of the 2023–24 season that he can play as a center-forward, the Gunners are eager to add a new striker.

Since Eddie Nketiah is probably going to leave, Arsenal will have room in the roster to add a new forward during the summer transfer window.

Sesko, who tallied eighteen goals in his debut season with Leipzig, was rumored to be a target for them.

But once it was recently discovered that Sesko had chosen to remain in Germany, Arsenal’s chances of signing the Slovenian international were dashed.

The 21-year-old chose to stay with Leipzig through the summer of 2029 rather than accept a contract offer from the Premier League.

As per GIVEMESPORT, Arsenal has compiled a list of three substitute targets, which includes Ferguson of Brighton.

The Republic of Ireland international, who had to make do with 15 Premier League starts the previous season owing to injuries and selection issues, has become a possible Arsenal option.

In his 65 games as a Brighton player, Ferguson has undoubtedly demonstrated a ton of promise, tallying 16 goals and dishing out five assists.

The 19-year-old’s current contract is slated to expire in June 2029, thus a substantial transfer fee would probably be required.

Victor Gyokeres of Sporting Lisbon and Joshua Zirkzee, a powerful marksman for Bologna, are rumored to be on Arssenal’s wishlist.

With a fifth-place finish last season, Zirkzee scored 11 goals in 34 Serie A games to help Bologna qualify for the Champions League.

To get the Dutchman, though, would be challenging for Mikel Arteta’s team because AC Milan is reportedly leading the chase.

Gyokeres, meanwhile, is rumored to be leaving Portugal even though he only joined Sporting from Coventry City as a summer transfer.

In his 33 league games, the Sweden international scored 29 goals to finish as the Primeira Liga’s top scorer during his stellar debut season with Sporting.

According to sources, Gyokeres’ Sporting contract has a €100 million (£85 million) release clause that expires in the summer of 2028.
