The Rangers are making progress as the fatal hitman leaves Ibrox sleuths puzzled with a social media clue.

As Philippe Clement and his chief recruiting officer Nils Koppen continue to manage a major transfer revamp this summer, Rangers have wasted little time in strengthening their team ahead of the new campaign.

Clinton Nsiala from AC Milan has already been signed by the Ibrox team on a pre-contract basis. Additionally, agreements have been reached for left-back Jefte and winger Oscar Cortes on an initial one-year loan with an option to buy as well.

Albion Rrahmani, a forward for Rapid Bucharest, has also been strongly linked to the Gers. Clement is looking for a goal scorer who can score goals frequently and take some of the load off of Cyriel Dessers, a star player on the first squad right now.

Astute Light Blues supporters think the 23-year-old international from Kosovo has given them a significant hint about his next move on social media, and they are confident they are getting close to signing him. He started following Pulp, an Instagram cafe in Glasgow’s West End on Gibson Street, after that.

Rrahmani has a profile that is comparable to Aberdeen striker Bojan Miovski, who is in high demand. Rrahmani scored 13 goals in 15 league games for the Romanian team last season.

Despite the player appearing to wave goodbye to supporters last month, Rapid’s new manager Neil Lennon recently acknowledged he wasn’t going to allow his star hitman leave the team without a battle.

Co-owner Victor Angelescu then confirmed that indication, admitting that they are now prepared to lose Rrahmani in the upcoming transfer window and that they have a replacement in the form of Romanian international Louis Munteanu.

Rangers must be ready to pay a sum of money close to £6 million, though, in order to persuade the Romanians to part with one of their most valuable assets.

That’s according to insider Cristian Cernodolea, who stated that a summer transfer is unquestionably planned and that Slavia Prague is reportedly interested in him.

The idea that Rrahmani is headed to Glasgow has gained traction, as it is believed that Koppen, the recruitment guru, made a sales presentation to the player’s representation during a TransferRoom event in Mexico earlier this month.

With Rapid’s sports director Daniel Sandu stating that the team has already received “good offers” for the attacker, Rangers supporters will be hoping he choose Govan over other possibilities.

Regarding the possibility of a quick move, Cernodolea stated to GSP: “I am positive that Rrahmani will depart this summer because I understand the market and what is going on in it.” I am aware that Rapid has made proposals.

Important teams from throughout the country came to see him; they sent scouts to the Bucharest matches. I know some of them were impressed, so I’m sure of it.

If I had to guess, I’d think that Rapid is probably certainly offering Rrahmani between €5 and €6 million, or roughly £4.5 million, at this time.

Furthermore, I don’t believe they will sell him for that sum. The target the club has set for itself is between €7 and €8 million, or roughly £6 million.
