According to the Portuguese media, young Portuguese player Rodrigo Gomes has “already signed” a deal with Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Record notes that the player inked a five-year contract with an option for a further season immediately following his medical with the Molineux team.
Wolves is paying €15 million for the transfer, with Braga keeping 10% of any future sales, as the Portuguese media has previously reported.
Braga ultimately saw a favorable chance in the transaction, as that is a fair price for a player who isn’t with Benfica, Porto, or Sporting.
And Wolves will now have another Portuguese player.
According to the article, the clubs ought to formally announce the change on Wednesday.
A product of Braga’s junior system, Rodrigo Gomes spent last summer on loan at Estoril.
In his 36 games with them the previous season, he essentially filled every defensive and attacking position on the wings.
Since the player’s agent had previously acknowledged in January that he had some communication with the Molineux side, Wolves has been pursuing the player for some time.
