After completing a deal with SC Braga, Wolves are now expected to sign Rodrigo Gomes, and Fabrizio Romano has now provided additional details regarding the deal.
The gifted 20-year-old, who had an incredible 2023–24 season while on loan at Estoril, is being pursued by Wolves.
The youthful player was exceptional, primarily playing as a right wing-back, contributing eight assists and nine goals.
Due to his recent form, he has attracted a lot of attention. He was one of the most interesting players in the Portuguese first division.
However, it seems like Wolves have made significant progress in their pursuit of Rodrigo Gomes. The player’s medical is scheduled for this week, as per the arrangement that was agreed.

He posted the following on X: “Wolves has completed a deal to sign Portuguese talent from Braga; Rodrigo Gomes is on his way to England this week.”
Wolves completed the project quickly for €15 million, but Atletico Madrid never sent a proposal since they had different priorities. Gomes plans to sign through June 2029.
