Agent rules off move for Rangers client and dismisses claim of particular exit from Philippe Clement’s side.
Rangers defender Rıdvan Yılmaz’s agency has confirmed that he will not return to the Turkish Super Lig in the near future. The 23-year-old was a regular under Philippe Clement last season and has been linked with a move away from Ibrox, with Besiktas reportedly showing interest.
Fanatik writer Gökmen Özcan met with his agent Necdet Ergezen, who stated that the Rangers player will not be returning to Turkey anytime soon. “Rıdvan plans to continue his career in Europe.” “There are no plans to return to the Super Lig in the near or medium term,” stated his agent.
Earlier today, we reported from Turkish media that Besiktas is interested in re-signing the Rangers full back and is optimistic of completing the deal. Rangers signed Yılmaz from Black Eagles in 2022, and he has been linked with a return to his former team. Yılmaz was rumored to want to return to Istanbul after missing Turkey’s Euro 2024 squad, however his agent’s comments contradicted this. The Turkey international is committed to Rangers until June 2027.
