Rangers update on transfers as the team prepares to increase spending in an effort to sign Sam Lammers

Despite Sam Lammers’ high price tag, FC Utrecht is willing to “go far” in order to sign him this summer, according to Jordy Zuidam. Lammers is a Rangers player.

The Dutch attacker scored 11 goals for the Eredivisie team during his previous half-season on loan, and the club’s technical director acknowledges that he is “very important” to them.

After arriving at Ibrox last summer, Lammers, 27, had a difficult time adjusting. However, his performance in his own country has spurred interest in a transfer battle, with FC Twente showing interest as well, despite Arnold Bruggink, their technical director, playing it cool.

“We also have a very good striker at FC Twente,” he stated, as reported by Football Scotland on June 9. Therefore, we don’t really need someone there right now.

By the time the European Championship concludes, things will resume as normal. We are not in a panic. According to Zuidam, via Football Scotland: “We want to go far for him because he is a very important link in our team.” Although it is beyond our means, we are now searching for a fix.

According to Rangers Review on May 29, Rangers have made the decision to sell Lammers this summer and are now hoping to at least recoup their investment in him, if not turn a profit.

FC Twente and FC Utrecht will compete for a Rangers forward Given how low Lammers’ stock was in January, the Light Blues should count themselves extremely fortunate if a deal can be struck with any team to earn a respectable return for him.

Credit should go to the team and, more importantly, the player for taking advantage of the opportunity to secure his Utrecht loan during the winter transfer window.

Although his record-breaking goals from the previous season helped the Dutch club, it doesn’t seem like they can easily make a deal to get him back.

Rangers believe that it is best if competitors enter the race and raise the asking price, but it would undoubtedly be advantageous to close a transaction as soon as possible.

Despite his quick start to the summer with attempts to sign Jefte, Oscar Cortes, and Leon Balogun, Philippe Clement still has a lot of work ahead of him as he attempts to restructure a roster that finished the season far short of expectations.

The sooner a fee for Lammers could be agreed upon, the more flexibility the management would have in trying to find a replacement and conduct business abroad. However, given that the Euros are about to begin, agreements may have to wait.
