Top ‘WOLF’ target Dawson Merritt provides an update on recruiting ahead of his official visit and last trip to Alabama.

One more trip for the elite ‘WOLF’ target.. Bama247 has the latest on the Merritt with Alabama and Nebraska as the final two.

This weekend, Alabama will host another distinguished set of official guests on campus as the coaching staff attempts to repeat the triumph from last week, when four-star quarterback Keelon Russell of Duncanville (Gulfam) abruptly left SMU two days after arriving in Tuscaloosa.

Following the first official visitors weekend of the summer, the staff also made significant movements for a number of prospects.

There are two commits and a few elite targets in the June 7-9 group. Dawson Merritt is one of those people.

This will be the four-star linebacker’s third visit to Tuscaloosa since March.

The new staff extended an offer to the Blue Valley (KS) High School prospect in February.

He made a “top notch” first-ever visit in March and came back in April to spend more time with the coaches.

He had originally scheduled an official visit for April, but he modified it to an unofficial visit so he could return to campus this next weekend.

Merritt and Bama247 spoke again in May, this time about his “very high interest” in the Crimson Tide.

With one trip remaining, the No. 3 prospect in Kansas is only down to Nebraska and Alabama. This is the most recent.
