Robby McCrorie’s transfer fee that Rangers will want when Ibrox leaves to capitalize on Aberdeen FC’s interest

McCrorie is a target for Aberdeen and Record Sport understands he’s knocked back a contract extension at Ibrox.

Robby McCrorie is a wanted player, and Rangers will need at least £500,000 plus add-ons to get him gone during this window.

The keeper rejected a contract extension and wants to go on to play football for the first team, according to information that Record Sport first reported on Tuesday.

McCrorie, who is in the final year of his contract and is drawing interest from Aberdeen and the English Championship, has stated that he is at a level where he needs to be playing.

In order to avoid the possibility of him signing a pre-contract in January, Rangers must maximize their return during current window.

The 26-year-old wanted to play to push his way into the Scotland Euro 2024 team, so he submitted a transfer request back in January.

At a time when Rangers were chasing success on all fronts, Philippe Clement opposed the deal and maintained he needed McCrorie in case something happened to Jack Butland.

The source of Clement’s headache is his perception that he has two No. 1s in McCrorie and Jack Butland. Although he can’t satisfy them both, he is also aware that Butland is drawing attention with his comeback as Ibrox.

He wouldn’t want to lose McCrorie and the former England cap if a high-ball offer were to come in.

After letting Jon McLaughlin depart at the end of the previous campaign, Rangers are currently in negotiations with Scotland’s squad keeper Liam Kelly at the Ibrox.

They desire a free transfer for the former Motherwell top player. Kelly had previously been through the youth ranks at Ibrox.
