Gary O’Neil is pressuring Monaco to “hurry up” while Wolves are “pushing hard” to recruit a wanted Premier League striker.

According to reports, Wolverhampton Wanderers is stepping up their efforts to capture a Chelsea striker who is on the verge of leaving this summer.

Armando Broja chose to sign with Fulham rather than the Old Gold in January, therefore a delayed transfer may now be finalized following the striker’s unsuccessful tenure at Craven Cottage.

Despite being born in Slough, Broja is an accomplished Albanian international with 19 caps and four goals. He is eager to leave Chelsea behind.

In order to build on his productive loan at Southampton during the 2021–2022 season, where he scored six goals in 32 appearances, the 22-year-old wants more playing time.

According to the Standard, Chelsea is now prepared to let go of Broja on a permanent transfer, while Wolves is reportedly “pushing hard” to sign him during the next transfer window. Bologna and AS Monaco, two Champions League teams, are also eager, so Gary O’Neil needs to take their interest as a wake-up call.

Broja deal must be completed fast for Wolves. The roster was exposed in the second half of the previous season, and Wanderers are in serious need of a new striker.

Since there were no fit senior strikers, O’Neil was forced to utilize Tawanda Chirewa and Nathan Fraser in forward positions, with Mario Lemina frequently serving as a backup winger.

In January, Wolves had two options for finding a new attacker:

they could take out a loan or look into the free agency market because no transfer funds were available. With few options, top target Broja turned down a move to Molineux in favor of Fulham, who was conveniently located close to Chelsea.

All sides would benefit from a move being finalized as soon as possible, since Albania will be competing in the UEFA European Championships in Germany.

Broja, who has eight goals in 66 Premier League games this season, can get out of his misery at Chelsea. Wolves can resolve their striker issues in the interim.
