Rangers has been informed that its newest player is talented enough to play for Real Madrid, the reigning Champions League winners, at some point in the future.
Brazilian left-back Jefte, who signed a four-year contract with Ibrox, was signed by the Light Blues last week, marking the beginning of their summer recruitment.
The 20-year-old just finished a season-long loan with APOEL Nicosia, making 33 appearances across all competitions for the Cypriot team, tallying three goals and dishing out four assists. Jefte also played with previous Rangers loanee Dalcio during his time in Nicosia.
Dalcio played one season at Ibrox under Pedro Caixinha’s management.
Although he didn’t have much of an impact when playing for Rangers, Dalcio believes that Jefte can play for Real Madrid eventually “if he works hard and wants it” and has encouraged his former team’s first summer acquisition to succeed at Ibrox.
“Jefte’s a very good player, really offensive,” he told MailSport. He will provide the Rangers speed and goals.
He’s still young, so he will pick it up. Rangers have the potential to maximize his potential as he is still growing.
He’ll get better at Ibrox. Even though he is currently a good player, he still has a lot of room to grow. As a young player, he joined APOEL and was immediately promoted to the top league.
Of course, he had trouble adjusting for the first three or four months. However, he was an excellent left-back for us after that. Rangers aren’t currently spending a lot of money on Jefte.
However, he can pursue any career he desires in the future. Everything is dependent on Jefte.
The word at APOEL was that he may play for Real Madrid in the future if he put in the necessary effort and wanted it.
