Football Manager claims Wolves will have a perplexing summer transfer window.

The summer transfer window for Wolves’ forthcoming 2024–2025 campaign is predicted by Football Manager 2024.

With the end of Wolves’ season, all eyes are on the transfer market.

led the team to a mid-table Premier League finish, capping off a successful first season in command.

But Wolves’ first team still needs a lot of work, since the squad’s lack of depth is a major problem. Consequently, this piece examines what the Molineux supporters would have experienced this summer based on the Football Manager 2024 simulation game.

We can observe which important players the AI chose to join the team and who left by simulating all the way to the end of the window.

In – Damian Garcia

Damian Garcia is the wonderkid who opens up this list. The 20-year-old midfielder, who is now with Uruguayan team Penarol, is said to have a lot of potential. Wolves paid £2 million to acquire the 20-year-old, possibly in the hopes of finding another Joao Gomes-like steal in South America.

Out – Nathan Fraser

Wolves’ wonderkid Nathan Fraser was given a chance to find regular first-team football out on loan. The striker departed for League One side Northampton in order to help fill his potential.

A move such as this seems plausible in real life as Fraser was almost sent out on loan in January 2024.

In – Jonathan Rowe

One signing which may happen in real life, Wolves signed Norwich winger Jonathan Rowe for £20.5 million on the game.

Rowe has been linked to Wolves in real life after he played a key role in getting his team into the playoffs before they lost to Leeds.

It remains to be seen if the Old Gold will follow this interest up with a bid this summer.

Out – Santiago Bueno

After just one year with the team, Wolves decided to part company with Santiago Bueno, which is the first strange departure on our list. After his return to Spain, the center back spent £4.5 million to join Real Betis. The Uruguayan didn’t exactly blow everyone away in his debut season of real life. Santiago Bueno has one of the lowest ratings of any Wolves player over the past ten years. With so few choices at the back, it is quite doubtful that O’Neil will try to split ways with the defender.

In – Paul Jaeckel

To reinforce Wolves’ backline, the club looked across to Germany where they brought in Union Berlin centre-back Paul Jaeckel for £1.5 million.

In the 2022/23 season, the German helped guide the capital side to Champions League football. Therefore, Wolves must have seen the experienced 25-year-old as a bargain replacement.

Out – Hwang Hee-Chan

Another strange departure. Wolves let go of their South Korean superstar Hwang Hee-Chan on FM as he departed for £26.5 million to Italian side Cagliari.

While Wolves may need to sell a big star in real life, it seems highly unlikely that they would let Hwang depart.

The South Korean international was sensational in the 2023/24 campaign as he netted 12 times in the Premier League.

In – Lamine Camara

One of the biggest signings Wolves made. The club purchased attacking midfielder Lamine Camara from French side Metz for £9 million.

Camara is highly regarded in the French league and his free-kick ability has been likened to West Ham midfielder James Ward-Prowse.

Out – Toti Gomes

The final major departure in the summer transfer window was defender Toti Gomes. The centre-back moved to Montpellier for £3.3 million.

Again, like many of the departures on this list, it seems very unlikely that Toti will depart, especially for such a low price.
