Footage of Clement’s heated exchange with Celtic vs Rangers official

A footage from Celtic’s ‘Unique Angle’ video shows a tense handshake between the Rangers manager and the Scottish FA official at Hampden. As the fourth official for the national stadium’s showpiece final, McLean was tasked with keeping Clement and Brendan Rodgers in check. However, he had an earful from the Ibrox boss at full-time, with Clement visibly dissatisfied with the officials.

Clement shakes hands with McLean, who stares off in the distance, and expresses his views in a difficult exchange. McLean looks to remain mute as Clement makes comments during the handshake before replying to the Ibrox manager as they walk apart. The official then continued to shake hands with Celtic players and coaches as the celebrations began at Hampden.

Clement admitted his frustration over the decision to disallow Abdallah Sima’s goal in the final for a push on Joe Hart – spotted by VAR official John Beaton.

But Clement conceded the matter was a “grey area” as he commented on Nick Walsh’s “really big call” in the final.

On the disallowed Sima strike for his side, Clement commented: “If you have the scenario also that you score goals and they are disallowed in that way, that is also in that moment a disappointment.

“If I compare with the push that Scales gave to Dujon Sterling in the first half, it’s a much bigger push than what happened with Joe Hart today”

If I look at how all of the Celtic defenders are grabbing my guys and wrapping their arms around their necks and waists, it’s a tremendously big call to deny the goal.” When asked if he had discussed the situation with Walsh following the huge incident, the Ibrox manager said, “Nothing special.” It is their decision. They are honest and make their own decisions.
