A petition against season ticket price increases from the Wolves to Jeff Shi is approaching 10,000 signatures.

After season ticket renewal costs were sharply increased earlier this week, Wolves fans were left feeling completely betrayed. As a result, they banded together to send a strong message to Jeff Shi and Fosun.

Wolves fans were horrified to learn how much it would cost to renew their season tickets for the upcoming campaign, just days after the team declared they would finish in 14th place in the Premier League.

According to the E&S, many fans experienced an increase of about 17%, while some children’s tickets have increased by an astounding 176%.

Most people agree that the rises are totally unreasonable in light of the club’s stagnation, the owners’ lack of investment, and the current crisis in living expenses.

The increase in season ticket costs has drawn criticism for being tone deaf and for alienating some of Wolves’ most devoted fans.

The fan base has been engaged since the revelations regarding season ticket prices were announced on Thursday, and many of them have now banded together to deliver a strong message to chairman Jeff Shi.

Wolves petition to Jeff Shi against season ticket price hikes set to reach 10,000 signatures

There has not been fury at Wolves on a scale such as this for some time.

The team has failed to live up to those first few seasons back in the Premier League, and there have been some difficult moments in recent years.

However, there was always excellent assistance. Wolves supporters have always supported the team no matter how difficult things have become. From a distance, perhaps from the stands at Molineux.

This is the reason the decision to drastically boost season ticket prices has backfired so badly. Considering the devotion they have displayed during the difficult times, many supporters believe it to be a slap in the face.

Additionally, a lot of people don’t think the price increases are warranted, and other people are offended that the club based their new charges on those of other clubs, many of which are located in London.

Due to the strong feelings that many people have towards this, chairman Jeff Shi is being urged in a petition to “reconsider the approach to ticket prices before irreversible damage is done to the fanbase and the local community.”

Old Gold Pack initiated this, and it went online on Friday. The petition has garnered a lot of support thus far; as of Sunday night, it had 8760 signatories. It won’t be long till the 10,000 signature goal is reached.

Brilliant from Wolves fans

The fan base has responded fiercely to the increases in season ticket prices, and it is great to see everyone uniting around this issue.

This is a truly terrible choice that ought to be reexamined right away. If Molineux’s decision-makers had believed they could get away with doing this without facing the kind of backlash that has been shown, it would be truly astounding.

It is merely conceited and extremely offensive to the fans if they genuinely believed there would be no blowback.

However, the petition’s overwhelming support is truly heartening, and maybe Shi, Fosun, and everyone else involved will hear the message clearly.

In sports, we have witnessed the strength of the fan base.

The projected Super League’s demise a few years ago serves as an excellent illustration. Since there is only one club involved, this is on a smaller scale than that.

However, Wolves supporters find it to be just as repulsive as that, and it’s obvious that some are prepared to challenge the judgment.
