Joe Hart remarks, “What a day,” following his Cup victory and retirement.

After Celtic’s victory over Rangers at Hampden on Saturday to capture a League and Cup Double, goalkeeper Joe Hart of Celtic was overcome with emotion.

After the Englishman declared at the end of February that this would be his last season as a professional football player, some teammates felt compelled to give him a proper farewell.

Hart took to Instagram to share his thoughts on winning the Cup as he raised yet another trophy to cap off an incredible career.

The team made a wise acquisition in Hart. Hart has not only scored excellent goals, but he has also demonstrated outstanding leadership in the locker room and assiduously assimilated into the team’s culture.

Hart played with the Scottish Champions for three seasons, earning seven titles during his 152 appearances and 63 clean sheets.

Tottenham made a mistake, which helped Celtic and blossomed into a lovely connection between the former Man City goalkeeper and himself.

Hart will now put up his gloves and enter the next phase of his life at the age of 37.
