Brendan Rodgers anticipates a better Tony Ralston Celtic role.

Tony Ralston, a fullback who was included in Steve Clarke’s Scotland team, will play a better role for Celtic next season, according to Brendan Rodgers.

Just a few days after putting up a strong performance for the Scottish Champions, the right-back was included in the first 28-man Euro 2024 team.

Next season, he will be in more of my features. Ali was the first choice for a portion of this season. After Tony entered and engaged in some gaming, Ali returned from a prolonged absence, so I had to provide him with games to bring him up to date.

Thus, Tony hasn’t played as frequently. Even if he doesn’t play games, I can be sure he is always prepared because training is what he does. His training regimen consists of daily sessions, and he approaches it with a mindset like to that of a player.

That is why I am able to start him in the season’s last match against St Mirren, when he runs up and crosses the ball in the ninetieth minute to score the game-winning goal. For what reason? as a result of his self-training.

He is an amazing example of someone who approaches his training like a game in order to be prepared for battle when he enters the room. “I am aware that Scotland is dealing with a few injuries, but even with those players available, Tony is a fantastic alternative and has the best degree of experience playing in Champions League matches. “He is a winner, he possesses that mindset, and he would never, ever disappoint Scotland.”

Given the unavailability of Aaron Hickey and Nathan Patterson, Ralston will be hoping to impress Clarke and take over at right wingback.

But before heading out for international duty, Ralston will be hopeful that Celtic wins at Hampden to bring the Scottish Cup back to Paradise.
