After his first full season at Molineux, Matheus Cunha has praised the Wolves supporters, stating that he finds one specific facet of their support to be “unbelievable.” Cunha concluded the 2023–24 season with 22 goal involvements, making him one of Wolves’ best players.
Cunha became one of Gary O’Neil’s most vital players from the start because of his ability to carry the ball, his work ethic, and his inventiveness in the closing third.
Cunha was outstanding the entire way, displaying excellent synergy with Pedro Neto and Hwang Hee-chan, his fellow forwards.
Sadly, he suffered a “severe” hamstring injury in February, which forced a temporary end to his season.
Because of it, he was forced to the sidelines, and Wolves suffered greatly without him as O’Neil turned to young players like Leon Chiwome and Nathan Fraser.
Cunha, though, had a fantastic season and could truly feel the affection from the supporters.

Cunha’s emotional nature has been abundantly evident since his arrival.
He constantly puts his emotions on his sleeve and is utterly delighted with the welcome he receives from fans on game days.
Cunha performed for a major club in Atletico Madrid before coming to Wolves, but he was astonished by the crowd at Molineux and especially enjoyed all the songs that reverberated around the stadium.
He stated, through a Wolves representative: “You establish a bond. I think with teammates and the club first.
The songs and music are amazing, the fans are really supportive, and we go above and above for them. “I usually promise to do this (the celebrations) before the game, but to be honest, you don’t remember it during.
Things of this nature do occur. I watched the fans’ incredible joy after I scored and I know they chat to us about the West Bromwich game.

Cunha has a reciprocal love for her admirers.
It’s wonderful to hear Cunha express his gratitude to the fans in this way, and it seems like he truly values all of the love he receives.
And it makes perfect sense that he receives support. Cunha is a really endearing athlete. The 24-year-old’s play makes him very simple to cheer for and he always speaks incredibly well.
In addition to putting in a lot of effort throughout games, he can create magical moments like the hat-trick he scored against Chelsea or the incredible solo goal he scored against Nottingham Forest.
He is without a doubt a fan favorite, and he is just one of several players who have contributed to the improved entertainment value of Wolves.
