European powerhouses reach out to sign Celtic playmaker

Bundesliga winners Bayer Leverkusen are planning to make a transfer move for Celtic playmaker Daniel Kelly. On Wednesday, Football Scotland and reporter Mark Hendry gave a Celtic update on Kelly, the youthful playmaker.

According to sources in Germany who spoke to FS, Kelly is regarded as a significant talent for his age group. Xabi Alonso’s team has been in contact, seeking to know the financial details of any possible transfer and hoping to reach an agreement.

The report also states that Celtic and the 18-year-old will meet again this week to discuss a contract, and that Parkhead officials “believe they can have successful talks and convince Kelly to pledge his future to Parkhead,” as the team is eager to hold onto their academy graduate.

The next few weeks could be crucial for the adolescent team as Rodgers and company also want to hold onto Kelly and Rocco Vata. Throughout the 2023–24 season, Kelly has made six senior appearances for the Hoops.
