Young Celtic Star Is Seen As “Serious Talent” by European Heavyweights

Football Scotland reports that young Celtic midfielder Daniel Kelly is viewed as a “serious talent” by European powerhouse Bayer Leverkusen, who wish to bring him to Germany.

Kelly, the Celtic Academy Player of the Year, is a playmaker whose talents have drawn attention both domestically and internationally.

Kelly is currently part of Celtic’s first team setup, therefore the club is eager to discuss a deal with him. This week, they hope to secure his services.

Leverkusen, the reigning champions of Germany, are quite interested as well. They have had an excellent season to solidify their place among the best teams in the Bundesliga.

Kelly’s growth and potential have been seen by the BayArena team, who see him as a “serious talent” they want to add to the team.

Celtic would be entitled to compensate in the amount of approximately £500,000 if Kelly left for Germany right away. In an effort to prevent that from happening, Celtic will try to persuade the 18-year-old to sign a contract.

This season, Kelly participated in Scottish Premiership matches against Dundee, Hearts, St Johnstone, and Livingston, as part of Brendan Rodgers’ first team lineup. Kelly will probably play in more first team games if he stays put.
