Scotland’s preliminary Euro 2024 squad includes four Celts.

Four Celtic players have been included in the provisional Scotland team ahead of the tournament’s start in Germany next month, with less than a month until Euro 2024 gets underway.

Steve Clarke announced the first 28-man roster this morning, including Callum McGregor, James Forrest, Anthony Ralston, and Greg Taylor. The announcement followed the Hoops’ thrilling victory last week.

After competing in the most recent European Championships in 2021, McGregor, Forrest, and Taylor will be looking to secure a spot in the final squad for the next European Championships.

Ralston, meanwhile, will have the chance to compete in an international competition for the first time when the Scots travel to Germany in June.

In Group A, Scotland will play Switzerland and Hungary in addition to Germany on June 14, when the competition officially begins.

All four of the Celts want to be included in the group competing in the championship the following month when Steve Clarke announces his final team on June 7.
