Jack Butland acknowledges that Celtic’s league victory has come as “a tonne of bricks.”

After Brendan Rodgers secured the club’s third consecutive title as manager, Celtic’s victory was celebrated well into the weekend.

We talked about the amazing events that occurred in Glasgow’s city center yesterday, when Celtic fans partied well into Saturday and into the wee hours of Sunday morning.

After Rangers’ fiercely contested race rapidly came to an end with a 3-3 draw in the Ibrox Glasgow Derby, Celtic’s supporters and entire staff were ecstatic to win this championship.

The Celtics’ title victory this summer has given them something to gloat about and Champions League football to look forward to.

The Rangers supporters, meanwhile, are still blowing their fantastic opportunity to take home Scotland’s greatest honour and to lose out on the millions of UEFA pounds that will soon be traveling up The Celtic Way.

The Celtic “tonne of bricks” of Jack Butland And while the Celtic players are still ecstatic, Jack Butland has opened up about his true feelings following Celtic’s championship victory this past weekend.

“There have been some amazing moments, but ultimately we’ve fallen short of our main goal, which was to win the league,” Butland told the Daily Record. Yes, there have been some bad days during the past few weeks.

You know, it hits you like a ton of bricks, I guess, when you’ve put so much work into a desire and suddenly it’s gone.

However, I’ve enjoyed the past 12 months. Both the task and the experience have been wonderful.

“I know there have been setbacks, but overall it’s been fun. Though not all of our goals have been met, I’ve had a great time.

Whatever happens in the Scottish Cup this coming weekend, Celtic’s title success portends a positive summer. A better player may be donning the green and white hoops after the summer break, as Brendan Rodgers is expected to have a larger transfer budget to bolster the team. The transfer window always excites the supporters.

All of this suggests a thrilling summer for the Celtic supporters, while our adversaries across town will have to devise a plan to halt the Parkhead team without the financial means they know they have.
