Now that West Ham is prepared to intensify their pursuit of a “phenomenal” £25 million+ title winner

While West Ham United has to choose David Moyes’ successor first, there are rumors that the team has been keeping an eye on possible additions to the team this summer after stepping up their pursuit of a possible game-changer.

News about transfers involving West Ham First things first, the London Stadium staff will need to choose a new dugout employee, most likely Julen Lopetegui.

After deciding to leave the Midlands, the former Wolverhampton Wanderers manager has been heavily connected to the Hammers in recent weeks.

It appears that he has accepted an offer and will now likely return to the Premier League nearly a year later.

Lopetegui, who wasn’t supported at Wolves, would receive the ideal welcome present at West Ham in the form of a player who has just won another championship with his present team.

The Scottish Sun reports that Brighton & Hove Albion and Everton are also interested in signing Matt O’Riley from Celtic this summer, and that West Ham is prepared to intensify its pursuit of him.

This transaction is expected to surpass Kieran Tierney’s record £25 million move to Arsenal in 2019.

In a season that saw the Dane flourish once more, O’Riley and Celtic were able to cling onto their Scottish Premiership title following a fierce battle with Rangers.

After Atletico Madrid showed interest in signing him in January, O’Riley may now be heading to the Premier League and the London Stadium to change the Hammers’ midfield situation.

O’Riley is a terrific replacement for Paqueta. In light of Lucas Paqueta’s reported interest in Manchester City, West Ham might perhaps mitigate the impact of the Brazilian by acquiring O’Riley this summer.

More of an offensive danger than a box-to-box player, the 23-year-old would bring a different kind of flare to Paqeuta.

This season, he even outscored players like Mohammed Kudus, who scored 17 goals across all competitions.

It should come as no surprise that Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers has heaped praise on O’Riley after he has scored 19 goals and provided 18 assists in all competitions this season.

He recently said on Celtic TV via STV, “He has been absolutely phenomenal really in his consistency.” If there was anything that our squad was lacking, I believe it was that.

But from a personal standpoint, his objective is to return…I heard that he scored his first goal of the previous season in January of last year.

Given that his teammates and everyone else have obviously benefited from the effort and dedication he puts in each and every day at training to get better, his current results are a big tribute to himself. It is richly merited.
