Daniel Farke is apparently interested in getting back together with Josh Sargent, the striker for Norwich City, and Leeds United is already looking to bolster their roster
. Farke is still a “big fan” of the American, who is expected to leave Norwich this summer after their play-off semifinal demolishment by Leeds in midweek, according to a post on X by Darren Witcoop [19 May].
Sargent is attracting Premier League interest because he has led the Canaries’ scoring charts this season with 16 goals in 28 Championship games and two assists.
If Leeds defeats Southampton in the play-off final the following weekend, Farke would be eager to bring Sargent into the Elland Road squad, according to a report published in The Sunday Mirror on May 19.

It is not surprising that Farke is still intrigued by the forward’s potential to benefit his squad in the Premier League; he paid almost £8 million to recruit Sargent from Werder Bremen, calling him a “fantastic” player.
Despite remaining around after Norwich’s last relegation in 2022 and scoring in double figures in each of the previous Championship seasons, Sargent has frequently struggled at the highest level.
Despite his career failure to score more than five goals in a top division season (when playing for Werder and Norwich in the Bundesliga), he possesses exceptional positional sense and a strong work ethic that are valuable assets to the squad.
Regarding his objectives, Leeds supporters simply need to look back to Patrick Bamford’s 2020–21 campaign to see how a player may eventually make an impression at the Premier League level.
Sargent may choose to replace Bamford when Farke reassembles his team this summer.
