Wolves are ‘poised’ to win the race for the former Sheffield United star who is being pursued by Everton and Leeds United.

Despite interest from Leeds United and Everton, Wolves are allegedly in the lead to recruit former Sheffield United striker Che Adams.

Given that the forward’s Southampton contract expires in the summer, there has been much speculation in recent months surrounding his future.

The 27-year-old has been strongly linked to Wolves, and Everton and Leeds have also reportedly expressed interest. TEAMtalk claims that Wolves are in the lead in the competition to recruit the Scotland international.

According to reports, he accepted a transfer to Molineux in exchange for a guaranteed spot in the Premier League.

The forward has been connected to Leeds on several times in the past few years. Back in 2020, they were looking to bolster their Championship promotion drive with a new forward, and they wanted to add Adams to their team.

Jean-Kevin Augustin was acquired by the club instead, but the trade was disastrous.

Thankfully, the Elland Road supporters’ promotion attempt was not derailed, as they managed to avoid the second tier despite it. Adams has scored 15 goals in 40 league games this season despite being in and out of Southampton’s starting lineup.

Next week, when the Saints play the Whites at Wembley for a spot in the Premier League, he might play against Leeds.
