Joe Hart fights back emotions as Celtic fans unveil ‘Super Joe’ tifo on Trophy Day

The goalkeeper has become a much loved figure at the club

As Joe Hart accepted his own tifo from Celtic fans, he tried not to cry on the field.

As the goalie for the Hoops has announced that he would retire at the end of the current campaign, this afternoon’s match at Parkhead against St Mirren will be his last in front of the home crowd.

The goalkeeper will play against Rangers in the Scottish Cup Final the following weekend, and he’ll want to end his career on a positive note.

After spending three years in Glasgow, the 37-year-old said an emotional goodbye in a Celtic TV interview this week. However, he has since got another opportunity to attempt to control his emotions as the supporters have shown him how much they value him.

The Green Brigade revealed a tifo for him as he and his colleagues emerged from the tunnel to begin the second half against the Buddies.

“Super Joe Hart” was the caption for a photo of the goaltender celebrating, with fans cheering and thanking everyone involved while he delighted in his shout.

Since joining Celtic, Hart has won more titles than he did when playing for Manchester City.
