Celtic now have a fantastic opportunity to “really bury Rangers,” as Chris Sutton and Neil Lennon explain.

After winning the Scottish Premiership for 2023–2024, Celtic celebrated with all the pomp and circumstance of trophy day on Saturday.

It was a truly wonderful day in Paradise, complete with sunny football, pyrotechnics, and even Santa. It didn’t hurt that we defeated St. Mirren 3-2 either.

The Bhoys led by Brendan Rodgers went 11 games without a loss in all competitions thanks to goals from Kyogo Furuhashi, Matt O’Riley, and Luis Palma.

Over the summer and into the upcoming campaign, the manager has committed to improving Celtic. With the possible resources available following another direct qualification to the UEFA Champions League, that seems reasonable.

For Chris Sutton and Neil Lennon, two former Celtic favorites, it’s a chance to move on from Rangers and continue their rise to domestic dominance in the coming years.

Celtic expected to dominate the Rangers derby even more.

When asked where Celtic will go from here, Sutton responded, “It’s an exciting time,” in an interview with Sky Sports. Next season is still up in the air, and the Champions League is where the uncertainty will be.

Every season is a copy and paste job for Celtic; they must bolster their group, acquire players, and make the appropriate hiring decisions.

The goal is to watch a Celtic Park squad compete on an equal footing with the major European football teams, but it’s not an easy feat.

Lennon added in his rebuttal, saying, “I think you’re looking at a long period of domestic dominance, whether it be for the title but certainly for cups.”

The cash is available. They now have a manager in place who has completed the entire season and won the championship.

He can work with and get his players in during the entire preseason. I anticipate that Celtic will continue to grow.

“It’s a great opportunity to really bury Rangers,” Sutton concluded in response. Now let’s do it correctly. winning the league and all of the associated financial benefits.

Fans of the Celtics will be thinking, “This was too close for comfort. Let’s really pick it up and leave them in the dust.”

Celtic needs to take full advantage of its resources. With potentially more record-breaking financial success for the year ending June 30, 2024, money is flooding through Celtic like never before. Thus, the experts are right—there is money.

This summer will be all about how Celtic uses it. Will they possess the will to go out and instantly enhance the first team under Brendan Rodgers? Rangers will have a hard time competing if they do.

Theoretically, achieving domestic dominance and qualifying for the Champions League should go hand in hand.

As long as they work hard to win in the new, extended format, Celtic should have no trouble proving they are the finest team in Scotland. Strike the mark by aiming high.
