According to sources, John Lundstram may now leave Rangers and sign with an English team.

According to sources who spoke with Football Insider, John Lundstram is considering his options over moving back to England after his Rangers contract expires in June of this year.

Senior writer Pete O’Rourke revealed there’s a genuine possibility the midfield player would now leave Ibrox in an interview with Football Insider’s Inside Track program.

If the 30-year-old’s contract at Ibrox isn’t extended by the end of the next month, he will be free to sign with another team.

English clubs are anticipated to make Lundstram a contract offer in the upcoming weeks, as Football Insider reported last month. Lundstram has drawn a lot of interest from these clubs.

While Rangers remain optimistic about a potential arrangement with the Englishman, the clock is now running out as they try to lock him down for at least one more season. This summer, John Lundstram might go from Rangers.

Since Philippe Clement arrived at Ibrox in October of last year, Lundstram has been a crucial player.

This season, the midfielder has made 52 appearances for the team, contributing eight assists and two goals. After being sent off in the most recent Old Firm derby, which ended in a 2-1 loss to Celtic on May 11, he received harsh criticism from the Rangers supporters.

Considering that Lundstram has won two trophies and advanced to the Europa League final in his three years in Glasgow, O’Rourke thinks he has had “great success.”

Prior to the transfer season reopening in a few weeks, Clement has disclosed that he is organizing a “big” reconstruction at Ibrox.

The Belgian will now be anticipating support in his first summer window at the club after the Gers were unsuccessful in winning the Scottish Premiership this season.
